On the road! Yeah! 7:45am... and we up the McKenzie Hwy and through Burns. One thing we find out right away, and you've found out by now... technology doesn't always connect! Bummer! We traveled the Central Oregon Hwy... fabulous. Emma titled this photo: "Amber Waves of Grain!"
Dinner was in Boise at a Basque restaurant... which was really very good: Gernica. We feasted on croquetas. We made it to Twin Falls at night and saw the first church Brian and I went to when we were first married (still an ugly building he says).
We headed for Jackpot, Nevada and made it there in time to unpack and head across the street for the smoke-filled, quasi-air conditioned, slot machine redundant caverns. I cannot do it... no talent.. Emma, though has a talent, and managed to only come away $5 poorer? Me? I only wagered a whopping $2... one penny at a time!
